WHAT IS NANO SILVER?
Silver (Ag) has long been known as a metal that can keep food from spoiling thanks to its antibacterial activity. This metal can release Ag+ ions that inactivate microorganisms by destroying the cell membrane and the ability to duplicate the DNA of microorganisms. Nano silver is silver particles at nanometer size. Nano silver is antibacterial by releasing Ag+ ions, while silver particles at nano size from 1-100nm can directly affect the cell membrane of bacteria by changing the osmotic pressure on the cell membrane of bacteria and as a result, kill the cells.
Not only is it effective in the field of disinfection, nano-sized silver is also known as an excellent catalyst for many chemical reactions.
